Wednesday Wisdom

I saw this on Facebook, and it made me think. I thought maybe this would resonate with some of you parents as well.

Wednesday Wisdom, Teen, Lisa Orchard

Author:

I'm a Young Adult Author with two new series, "The Starlight Chronicles" and "The Super Spies." The first one's a coming of age series and the second one's a mystery/thriller series. I'm also the mother of two boys who keep me hopping and they're my inspiration for everything. When I'm not shuttling my boys to school or a play date, I'm writing. When I'm not writing, I'm reading, hiking, or sometimes running. I love anything chocolate and scary movies too.

  1. It sure does! Last night both my guys were up past 10 doing homework the last day before the end of the quarter at school. Inane assignments too, like: use all 60 vocabulary words in a 3 paragraph essay. Huh? For this my kids are stressed out? Let them be kids, I say, before they have to worry about being human-job-machines, right?

    1. Oh my gosh. Poor guys! I believe we need to be more like Finland. Less homework. Those kids are testing off the charts by doing less. Thanks for stopping by Rebecca! I appreciate your support. 🙂

  2. My teen is all grown up – this still moved me deeply. Teenagers often get a bad rap, but they deal with a lot of crap we didn’t have to. Some of it very serious.

    1. I agree. With all the stuff happening on Social Media. They really have their hands full. I wish my boys were born in simpler times, but they have good friends for which I’m so thankful for. Thanks for stopping by Michele and sharing your thoughts. I appreciate your support.

      1. Yes, social media and pervasive and dangerous drugs, among other issues. 😞 Your boys have you! You are welcome. Thanks for highlighting an important topic.
